Al-Ahram newspaper confirmed that the joint Egyptian-European investment conference, which Egypt will host in the coming days, is of great significance and increased importance on several levels.
The newspaper highlighted, in the editorial of its issue published today Wednesday, under the title (Investment Conference… New Opportunities), that the conference, which will be held on Saturday and Sunday, will offer, in a broad political and economic context presence of both sides, Egyptian and European, a large space for participants from both sides, most of whom are businessmen and representatives of business and the private sector, to exchange visions and ideas regarding the opportunities for Egyptian-European cooperation in the coming period in a number of projects, benefiting from the clear progress made by the Egyptian State in the process of economic reform, stimulating investments and supporting the private sector , which is evident through a series of laws and measures that have taken place in the last period, and The measures continue, starting with the publication of the policy document on public ownership, the launch of the public ownership program tender and recent measures to liberalize the exchange rate and eliminate the parallel market in foreign currencies.
The newspaper pointed out that the preparations for the conference confirm that its corridors will witness the signing of numerous contracts, agreements, memorandums of understanding and trade agreements between Egypt and the European Union, whose titles revolve around areas of cooperation of importance This will represent considerable support for the Egyptian economy in the next stage and a testimony of great confidence on the part of both parties. Al-Ahram indicated that holding the conference at this time carries several connotations, as it is one of the most significant results of the strategic partnership agreement between Egypt and the European Union, which extends until 2027.
